How We Use Your Phone Number

How phone numbers are collected

TailgateQuote is used by independent contractors — plumbers, roofers, electricians, and other tradespeople — to send estimates to their customers. When a contractor creates an estimate for a homeowner, they enter the homeowner's phone number directly into the app at the job site.

Phone numbers are collected in person, with the homeowner's verbal consent, before any message is sent.

What messages are sent

When a contractor sends an estimate through TailgateQuote, the homeowner receives a single SMS message containing a link to view their estimate. The message looks like:

Example: "Hi Sarah — Marcus from J.M. Plumbing sent you an estimate for $2,250. Review and sign here: tailgatequote.com/q/abc123"

That's it. One message. No follow-ups, no promotions, no marketing of any kind. The homeowner is not subscribed to any list.

No marketing messages

TailgateQuote does not send marketing SMS messages to homeowners. Homeowners do not opt in to any recurring communications. The sole purpose of the SMS is to deliver the estimate the homeowner requested in person from their contractor.

Message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient's mobile carrier and plan.
